Success requires founders to gain awareness of their deep beliefs and tastes to relentlessly find the right market for them, and to execute in that market with high coherence and consistency.
My Philosophy
Product-market fit is critical. And over the years, I’ve realized how the idea of “founder-market fit” resonates with me at an even deeper level. A successful company is creating a system of beliefs and tastes. Founders consciously or subconsciously manifest their beliefs and tastes in every part of the system – the product architecture, the customer experience, the team, the org structure, the served segment, the GTM strategy… Success requires founders to gain awareness of their deep beliefs and tastes to relentlessly find the right market for them, and to execute in that market with high coherence and consistency. It brings me the biggest joy finding founders who have that quality and helping them step into their journey of “founder-market fit”.
Experience
Prior to VC, I was a Product Manager and Strategist in Machine Learning & Big Data. I led GTM strategy at Databricks, defined the sales motion, pricing & packaging, and helped the company transitioned from a product company to a platform company; Then at Weights & Biases, I led Product Strategy, extended the product workflow support from serving ML Engineer persona to serving a much broader AI Engineer (software engineer) user group as the market headed towards the GenAI era.
Education
MSc Finance, Imperial College London
BA Economics & Real Estate Management, Renmin University of China
Outside of Work
I am a passionate explorer of what lies in between technology and the consciousness culture in our society. I practice nondual style meditation and a group connection exercise called “circling”. I enjoy reading anything in psychology and sociology, and am deeply interested in the exploration of consciousness expansion and the idea of a metamodern society. Most importantly, I want to bring what I’ve been learning in life into work context to discover beauty and meaningfulness in places and stories that I co-create.
