Amy Cheetham
I firmly believe that for-profit technology companies stand the best chance of solving many of the world’s toughest problems and venture lets me be a part of that process.
My Philosophy
Throughout my career, I found myself drawn to the ideas and people that shape early stage startups. Being a part of the process of the creation and scaling of technology companies fascinates me and I love debating hard problems and getting to meet a wide array of founders and operators in the process. I firmly believe that for-profit technology companies stand the best chance of solving many of the world’s toughest problems and venture lets me be a part of that process.
Experience
Before joining Costanoa, I ran North American sales strategy and operations at Zuora, a public enterprise software company. Prior to that, I spent three years investing in growth stage technology companies at Summit Partners, where my investments included Podium, InfoArmor (acq. AllState), and onXmaps. I began my career on Wall Street, working at JP Morgan where I spent time as a technology investment banker and as a cash equities trader focused on biotechnology and financial services.
Education
- B.A. in Government from Connecticut College
Outside of Work
When I’m not working, you’ll most likely find me outside enjoying beautiful California. I love any and all outdoor activities, though my current passions are distance running, hiking, and alpine skiing. My indoor hobbies include (pretty mediocre) cooking, snuggling my golden retriever, and reading. I also regularly volunteer as a crisis counselor for Crisis Text Line and am passionate about raising awareness for mental health issues.
